Worship |
Worship is central to the life of God’s people.
In worship we hear God’s word and with it the truth we need to live.
We are reminded of who we are as God’s people. We offer our thanks and praise for God’s many blessings. We share our gifts and commit ourselves to God’s work in the world. We invite you to join us for Sunday worship at 10:30am,
September – June. Worship begins at 9:30am during the summer.
Our Service
The scripture texts around which our worship is built are from the Revised Common Lectionary that unites us with churches hearing the same passages around the world. Services include wonderful music from our very talented accompanist and choir, as well as an opportunity to sing several hymns.
Communion
The first Sunday of the month we share the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Lyme Congregational Church practices open communion; all who recognize Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and seek peace with God and their neighbor are welcome at the table of remembrance and thanksgiving.
Children and Youth
We make a special effort to be sensitive to younger worshippers. Services include a children’s message, after which children are dismissed to attend Sunday School. Childcare for infants and toddlers is also available.
Fellowship
Everyone is invited to stay for a social hour downstairs in our fellowship hall following the service. Click here to learn more about the many special services we offer throughout the year.
Please, come and worship with us.
We are eager to welcome you and to share this special time with you.
